Skillz is set to go public

Here at Skillz we’ve got some amazing news to share. Skillz is going public. This means that soon Skillz will be a publicly-listed company on a national stock exchange. It’s huge for us at Skillz, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

To all our loyal fans, our players, and our massive community, we want to say thank you. Thank you for your time and devotion and thank you for your continued love and enthusiasm. Every minute you’ve played, every tournament you’ve sweated through, every prize you’ve won has led to this.

Going public will mean great things for Skillz and for you. We already power over two billion casual esports tournaments annually and we’re working hard to extend that adrenaline-fueled gaming experience to the 2.7 billion gamers worldwide. And as always with Skillz, we believe fairness equals fun. Our player-matching technology means you’ll always face an equally skilled opponent, giving you a fair chance to win.

What else does going public mean? Well, it certainly means more games. Exciting, fresh gaming experiences are on the way. There will be new challenges to put your skills to the test, new ways to play, and new ways to improve. And because we know how much you love our community features, we’re already working to enhance and expand those too.

“Today we’re a leader in casual esports and are well positioned to capture the global esports opportunity which will increasingly define the gaming market,” said Andrew Paradise, CEO and Founder of Skillz. “Skillz fulfills the human desire for community and competition and is shaping the future of interactive entertainment.”
