Skillz Bangalore: Our New Office for Global Growth
Inside our Global Expansion
On Monday, August 18, we officially opened the doors to our new Bangalore headquarters, our second global HQ and a major step in scaling the future of competitive gaming. To celebrate the opening, we hosted a ribbon-cutting and traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by an office-wide scavenger hunt that encouraged exploration and connection. Employees took part in photo opportunities throughout the themed spaces, and company leaders shared their vision for the future during a series of inspiring addresses.
With Las Vegas as our U.S. home base, our new Bangalore hub serves as a critical hub for product development, engineering, analytics, and growth marketing.
With its rich tech ecosystem, global connectivity, and top-tier talent, Bangalore is an ideal second home for Skillz.
A Global Platform, Powered by Local Talent
Since the start of 2025, more than 50 new Skillzians have joined our Bangalore team, now based at Table Space Towers Whitfield. With space to support up to 140 employees, the office gives us room to grow as we continue expanding our presence in India.
What’s special about Bangalore is that by bringing multiple disciplines together in one location, we’re creating faster feedback loops, tighter cross-functional collaboration, and a higher cadence of live testing and optimization. The workspace is designed to support that momentum, with nine modern conference rooms named after games, just like our Las Vegas HQ. You’ll find fun names like Midgard, The Citadel, Valoran, and The Mushroom Kingdom. The office also features a collaborative podium meeting space and a dedicated in-office pantry and lunch area, creating space for both structured work and informal connection. The building includes a hospitality team, an amphitheater, and an F&B plaza, offering a vibrant environment for collaboration, events, and team gatherings.
Meet Gaurav Verma
Leading the Bangalore office is Gaurav Verma, General Manager of the Skillz Platform. With a deep background in scaling mobile products for Indian and global audiences, Gaurav has led teams across gaming, music, and consumer tech.
Before Skillz, he helped grow RummyCircle, India’s largest real-money game, to over $300 million in revenue and transformed JioSaavn’s subscription business at a time when music streaming was still finding its commercial footing.
His focus? Building a team that not only executes at speed but does so in a way that reflects our mission: to bring out the best in everyone through competition.
Building What’s Next
In the months ahead, the Bangalore team will play a key role in accelerating feature development and scaling the platform to support our global network. As our footprint expands, we will continue to empower developers and unlock new player potential.
