Meet the Skillzians: Stories from Our 2025 Engineering Co-ops

If you’ve ever thought, “Wait, could I actually work in gaming?” The answer is YES. Right now, 22 Co-ops are contributing at our Las Vegas headquarters, joining us from schools across the country, such as Duke, Purdue, and the University of Texas, as well as local institutions like the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Building Talent Through Real Experience

At Skillz, our Co-op program offers more than a typical internship. It’s a key part of how we build our talent pipeline, and it gives students the chance to work on projects that make a real impact.

Our co-ops step in with fresh ideas, take on meaningful work, and contribute from day one. This summer, we captured that energy on camera to show what life as an Engineering Co-op at Skillz is all about.

Check out our short-form video featuring our Engineering Co-ops. From sharing what Skillz means to them in one word to imagining themselves as game characters with their own ultimate power-ups, the video offers a fun and authentic look into intern life at Skillz.
