  • “NHL ‘19” is coming soon, with its release date set for September 14. The new title will feature real-player motion tech, as well as all-new multiplayer game modes. (Forbes)
  • Sony has announced PlayStation Hits, a collection of some of the best games the PlayStation 4 has to offer, for a $20 price point. There will be 15 titles in the U.S. beginning on June 28, including “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” and “Bloodborne.” (IGN)

  • Mobile game company Scopely has raised $100 million in another round of funding. The company focuses on mobile digital entertainment, and bills itself as the “Netflix of software-based entertainment.” The company is now valued at around $700 million, and plans to use its new funding for acquisitions and investments.   • Critical Force, creator of the hit mobile game “Critical Ops,” has raised another $6.3 million in funding. In the wake of exciting eSports announcements, the developer is planning to grow its operations and build a data analysis platform for its games. (
